In a move aimed at fostering an inclusive and family-friendly work environment, the High Court of Jharkhand on Thursday inaugurated a Crèche and Day Care Centre within its premises.
The facility was inaugurated by Chief Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan in the presence of other Hon’ble Judges of the high court, the registrar general, members of the Registry, and advocates.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice Chauhan highlighted the importance of institutional support for working parents, especially women, and said that such measures promote gender sensitization and improve work-life balance within the judicial system.
The Crèche and Day Care Centre has been designed to offer a safe and nurturing environment for children, allowing parents employed at the High Court to carry out their professional responsibilities without worry. The initiative underscores the High Court’s commitment to creating a supportive and equitable workplace.
Following the inauguration, the dignitaries took a brief tour of the facility and interacted with the staff managing its operations.
